SHAKESPEARE IN THE SANTA CLARA VALLEY
Santa Clara City Shakespeare in the Park is a free, fully realized outdoor production of one of William Shakespeare’s works performed outdoors in the springtime. The production takes place across from Santa Clara’s city hall on the beautiful green grass under the stars. Shakespeare in the Park was started by Heidi and Michael Lee of HAM Productions, a non-profit production company formed with the purpose of bringing a Shakespeare in the Park festival to Santa Clara. After spending a decade in the Las Vegas area, Heidi and Michael chose to move back to their hometown of Santa Clara to raise their family. Heidi pitched the idea of Shakespeare in the Park to Michael, and with his total support, they committed themselves to bringing this fun, free, family-friendly, cultural event to the citizens of Santa Clara and all of Washington county. They reside in Santa Clara with their two awesome kids. They are thrilled to be able to serve the community in this way and thank their family, friends, the city of Santa Clara, their donors, the production crew, and all of the people who have been instrumental in bringing Shakespeare in the Park to life!
